What I'm Loving Wednesday

I have not done a WILW post in a while, so here ya go!
I said before that I was hesitant about a big dog...but so far, he's great!
I'm loving how Fitz just lays next to him...
How he plays baseball with Fitz:
How he's like a big ol' baby...
and how he lets Fitz just lay all over him!
I guess John was right...boxers are great family dogs!

My Favorite Place!

I love the beach.  It is my favorite destination.  No questions.  I'm thankful that my family mostly loves it, too.  This year, Mom wanted to take a whole family trip, but unfortunately, John's boss wouldn't let him off work.  That didn't stop the rest of us from going though, ha!
Fitz didn't really care that me and Mom were there as long as Uncle Zac was there.  They had the best time playing on the beach!

Mom and I took Fitz for a weekend earlier this year and we laughed because I brought a magazine to read on the beach.  Who has time for that with a toddler running around, right?  Well, when Uncle Zac is there, we could have read all day long!

Zac wanted to take Fitz on his first go-kart ride...but I was a little nervous about it!  You must be 36 inches tall to ride with an adult.  Guess how tall Fitz is? 37 inches.  He was a little nervous about it at first, too.
But it wasn't long before he was grinning!
Want to know when he was NOT grinning?  On the dolphin cruise we planned for Saturday morning.  He wouldn't take a picture with me, so I took a selfie with the pretty view:
Children under 8 have to wear a life vest, and I swear, you would have thought we were stabbing him when we tried to put it on him.  Zac and I had to hold him down to get it on and he cried for TWENTY minutes straight while he pulled on it and grunted trying to get it off.  Don't you wish you were one of the other passengers?

It really helped a lot that one family was late and we had to wait about 10 extra minutes for them to get there before we left.  Fun.
When the boat finally started moving, he got more focused on the water and the wind, but he would really only let Zac hold him.  He sat with Tootsie long enough for me to get a picture, and that's it.
I hopped behind him to get a quick photo and he squealed and said, "No Mama!!"  Remember when I was worried that he wouldn't talk??

We saw some other interesting boats...

and yes, dolphin, too!  (The boat people (captains?) called them dolphin, not dolphins.  I have no idea if that is correct or not, but that's what I'm saying since they did)

The boat people were pretty entertaining and very informative.  They told us all about this Osprey's 6 feet in diameter!  I thought it was really pretty!
We ate at several great restaurants, played hard, took no naps and had a blast!
We ate early every night and were back at the condo in our jammies by 7:00 p.m. every single night and loved every minute of it.
We hope Daddy can come next year and we can make this a yearly event!

A couple of weeks ago, I got home and checked the mail, as usual, and found an invitation addressed to me and John.  Ooh, I wonder who's having a party??  Well, it was us!
My friends Heather and Kristy threw us a Housewarming party this past weekend and that's how they told me about it!  John had a hand in the planning, but I had no idea.
Heather was at the house most of the day, prepping and decorating!  Look how cute the table was:

We had a great turnout and had so much fun visiting with everyone and giving tours of the new house!

NYC Flashback with Heather and Tabitha!
 John and sweet Rebekah:

We told people to bring their kids, so Fitz would have people to play with, and the kids had a blast!  Fitz was covered in dirt from head to toe when he came inside!

We had yummy food and great fellowship all night long!
We mostly got gift cards, which we are so thankful for, but we got a few other gifts, too.  Heather asked me to email her a picture of the house, and she fixed it up, printed and matted it, and had everyone sign it at the party!  What a great idea!!  See?

Love it!!

Bozzley the Boxer

Meet our new son, Bozzley!

Last week, some friends of ours posted on FB that they were needing to find a new home for their dog, because they didn't have time to play with him like he needs and wants.  I didn't really think much of it, because we already have Fancie, our old, arthritic, sweet shih-Tzu.  However, John just had to have him!
I sent our friend a message and he said someone was already coming to get him on Saturday, but he would let me know if that fell through.  That was all John could talk about for days.  Saturday morning rolled around and they told us the girl was not coming, so we could take him.  I've never seen John get ready to leave the house that fast!  We all went to meet him and brought him home!
Fancie is not so sure about him.  He wants to play with her and she's just a moody old woman who wants to be left alone, so that doesn't really work out, but I think they will be ok (let's hope so!).  Fitz loves Bozzley, though!  He pets him a lot and tells him to "Sit!"

He likes walking with us in the neighborhood...
 and Fancie likes his bed!
I really hope he and Fitz are big buddies!
He thinks he is the same size as Fancie.  He jumped right up in the recliner with John this morning:
I'm still a little apprehensive about it since I've never had a big dog, but he's really sweet and John is ecstatic, so I guess it's good!
Welcome to the family, Bozzley!
